Seeing double at St Paul’s

8 February 2012 No Comment

The Prep teachers at St Paul’s Lutheran Primary School will have a harder time than usual learning the children’s names this year – what with not one, but two sets of twin boys starting in 2012. Liam and Luke Wittleton, and Bailey and Tait Smith joined the other 71 Preppies starting at St Paul’s this week – but with double the excitement, as they shared the day with their twins.
Mr Nicholas Wittleton was happy to see his twins start school. “They’re numbers 4 and 5 of five (children),” he said. “They were both very ready to start school, and it was wonderful to have Mr Prinsloo’s advice and support throughout this whole process.”

But it wasn’t just the children who had new experiences in store for them – all Prep parents were pleasantly surprised at the end of the day, when they received a laminated photo certificate welcoming each of their children to St Paul’s. And this didn’t just happen in Prep – every new student at St Paul’s received a Welcome Certificate, as a momento of such an important day in their lives. “It’s something we’ve implemented this year,” said Anton Prinsloo, St Paul’s Principal. “We want to welcome our new families to our school community, and we felt that this was a great way to start.”
