Greens Candidates Out and About
Wet weather over the weekend did not dampen the spirits of Greens Candidates from the Toowoomba Greens Branch at the Cabarlah Markets on Sunday.
Greens Candidates from the electorates of Toowoomba North Frida Forsberg, Toowoomba South Trevor Smith, Nanango Grant Newson and Condamine Gabriele Tabikh were on the Hustings and talking to voters about their campaign priorities.
Miss Forsberg Convenor of the Toowoomba and Regional Greens said “We have four great candidates here talking with the local Community”. “This community cares about the long term future of the Darling Downs and Nanango Electorate. As candidates for the Greens we will be making sure that their voices are heard in this election campaign”. Said Miss Forsberg
“The old parties can’t be trusted to care about our local industries and farmlands and protect us from mining projects that effect our health and the water that our communities and farmers rely upon”.
Miss Forsberg also said that local Greens candidates would be campaigning for better health and education services in regional Queensland.
“The quality of health care you receive shouldn’t depend on where you live or how much money you earn when you are sick” said Miss Forsberg “The Greens are working hard to make health affordable by bring dentalcare into Medicare and that health dollars are directed to those who need it the most, particularly the communities of regional Queensland”
