Both the Commonwealth Government and the Queensland Government have a number of payments available for individuals and small businesses impacted by the Queensland Floods.
Wyatt Roy, Federal Member for Longman, is providing information about available payments for people affected by floods on his website.
Mr Roy encourages Longman residents and small businesses that have been impacted by recent floods to investigate the available payments to determine if they are eligible.

I walked into the evacuation centre in the main street of Woodford and was immediately handed a piece of damp paper by one of the weary volunteers. Here is what is said:
In the absence of a local SES, the Woodford community hall was opened as an evacuation centre.
Although supplies were almost nil, the community rallied amazingly to provide food and shelter that first day to 25 stranded or evacuated people. But the biggest task, that of co-ordinator and organiser, was done instinctively by Michael Wallis.

Obviously Neurum Creek was in need of a new bridge. You can see in the photo below that the water was just lapping over the road in March of 2010. This photo was taken when the water had subsided, prior to the construction of the new bridge.

A 60-year-old man had to be rescued from flood waters near Woodford yesterday.
The Mitchelton man was reported missing in Stoney Creek, near Woodford, and was later spotted by emergency services crews on the opposite side of the swollen, flooded creek.
Police said that four men went on a kayaking trip in Stoney Creek.
Two of the kayakers, aged 23 and 26, both from north Brisbane, have been accounted for after making their own way to shore.

The rain is here, as we all can see, with a vengeance. “Button” down your hatches, close the windows, take a sickie because at this rate, work will be canceled anyway. Ryan Gully is over Mt Mee road so those children at Delaneys Creek School might need picking up as you might not be able to get there at 3pm. Anyone living on Iron Bark Rd or just off it, the road is flooded and quite deep so watch yourselves there. Delaneys Creek School is not closed yet.
