As the 26th Woodford Folk Festival draws to a close, some of this year’s festival-goers reflect on their favourite moments.
“The dancing was my favourite, all the dancing. The sunrise was pretty memorable too,” said Thomas Hall.
“The people, and the vibe, but mostly just the amazing people I met,” said Tavis Roberts.

The Minister for Regional Australia, Regional Development and Local Government, the Hon Simon Crean MP and Senator for Queensland Mark Furner today announced the Australian Government has delivered on its commitment to provide up to $3,300,000 to the Queensland Folk Federation Inc for the Woodfordia Infrastructure Upgrade project in Woodford.
The project will upgrade infrastructure at the Woodfordia Festival site including water and sewerage work, site drainage, electrical distribution, communications and landscaping.
The administration office will also be upgraded and new amenity blocks, storage sheds and a workshop will be constructed.

Today (Saturday) is the final day of the current Woodford Folk Festival and the last chance to enjoy this six-day event’s special ambience and huge smorgasbord of entertainment until next December.

The rain bucketed down, but it did not dampen anyone’s spirits. People joined in on workshops, danced to the music, got dressed up to suit the occasion, gum boots being the main dress code for this year’s festival.
