Anzac Day Memorial Service Times for Woodford and Surrounding Areas

We are very lucky to have a smorgasbord of Anzac day memorial services held in our area. I am sure you will find one near your area that you can attend and show your respect for our fallen soldiers.

Spirit of Christmas at Mt Mee

Mt Mee Christmas Carols were sponsored by the Moreton Bay Council,
Mayor Alan Sutherland and Counsellor Adrian Raedel officially
opened the night.
There was a fantastic turnout of families carrying chairs and
picnic blankets.  The children held their flickeringcandles,
all dressed up as Santa, fairies, elves, with a Christmas hat or
Christmas colours,engaging in the spirit of Christmas and high on sugar
from the candy floss being sold.
The Peebo and Dagwood Clown Show was a favourite with parents and children
alike.  The clowns encouraging the children to interact and the performance
was cleverly accomplished.

Woodford Woolworths Takes Fresh Fruit To Mount Mee School

The staff from Woolworths in Woodford are getting around town a bit lately and on Thursday the 28th, I followed them to the Mount Mee Primary school. They had cut up fresh fruit from the store, packed it into containers, and then proceeded to deliver it to the children at Mount Mee.
I watched as they struggled to carry the containers of fruit into the school, layout the delicious fruit, and then chat to the children as they handed them a piece to eat. Of course I did lend a hand, …
