The hard work and dedication of teachers and principals has been recognised at the 2011 Australian Awards for Outstanding Teaching and School Leadership.
Senator for Queensland Mark Furner today congratulates Mount Mee State School principal Trevor Buchanan who received recognition as a finalist for Australian Primary Principal of the Year.

Mount Mee State School has officially opened its new Christine Schulz Building built under the Federal Government’s Building the Education Revolution Program (BER).
Mount Mee State School received $925,000 under the National School Pride (NSP) program and Primary Schools for the 21st Century (P21) element of the BER to build the new library which was named after its former principal.
