The Bush House has the opportunity to have fresh produce at the Bush House on Wednesdays. A lovely hydroponics grower in Delaneys Creek currently has lettuce, basil, chervil, corriander, bok choy on offer.
There will be many other vegetables on offer in the weeks to come as they mature and are ready to eat. Also looking into boxes of $10, $15, $20 boxes/ bags of mixed veg that you can come by and pick up.

What: Junior golf fun including 3 hole, 6 hole and 9 hole competition
Who: Children big enough to hold and swing a golf club are encouraged to come along and have some fun. Parents are welcome to play as well. We need at least one adult per group of 3 to 4 players.
Cost: $4 per 6 & 9 hole player $2 per 3 hole player.(The Pro shop will lend out sets of golf clubs for new juniors wanting to try out golf)

National Tree Day is Australia’s biggest community tree-planting event and a day for all Australians to help out by planting native trees and shrubs at a Tree Day site in their local area.
On Sunday 1 August The Durundur Railway at Woodford did their bit for National Tree Day. President of Australian Narrow Gauge Railway Museum Society Terry Olsen and Ryan Silk planted some trees and then gave the public Steam Train Rides.

Well Splendour is finally here. Traffic is on the increase as the steady flow of festival tickets holders stream into town. Most locals welcome them with open arms and others are hiding out in their houses until the chaos has ended. On Tuesday 22nd at Kilcoy all schools in the area were invited to Australian Rugby League Development Gala Day.
Girls and boys had great fun playing in their teams for the day. The children received something from the days event, they could choose from rugby ball, shirts and hats. All games were designed to be non competitive and were focused on skill development, participation and fun. This was achieved when all the children enjoyed using up all their energy playing the game making a welcome change from class room work.

Children in Woodford will enjoy an even bigger head start to their education with the new Woodford C&K Community Kindergarten opening in July, six months ahead of schedule.
Originally planned to open in 2011, the new kindergarten service will welcome its first group of children in Term 3, 2010 with places still available.
The Woodford C&K Community Kindergarten is operated by C&K and provides a quality early childhood education program, delivered by a qualified early childhood teacher, for 15 hours a week, 40 weeks a year.
